Easy Way to Jump Start Fat Loss

Changing your body composition requires being in a calorie deficit (consuming less calories than your body uses - when you do this, your body uses excess fat as energy), and one of the easiest ways to reduce your daily calorie intake is through reducing high calorie beverages, such as:

  • soda

  • energy drinks

  • specialty coffee drinks

  • juice

  • alcohol

Now, we’re not saying you have to completely eliminate them (if you’re completely restricting your favorite things, that’s simply another fad diet, and that won’t work.

Start drinking more water. Studies have shown drinking more water:

  • increases daily calorie burn, boosting metabolism

  • reduces appetite

  • reduces water retention

  • assists with digestion, flushing out toxins and waste products

It also hydrates your skin, keeps your scalp and hair healthier, and keeps your bones strong.

It's important to note that drinking water alone will not lead to significant fat loss, however it’s an excellent start to creating small behavioral changes and creating healthy habits.
