What the Heck is Creatine Monohydrate?

As you get further into your health journey (or, even if you’re a newbie), you may have heard of creatine monohydrate.

We don’t know about you, but before educating ourselves, we thought this was a semi-sketch supplement that body builders took to bulk up. Once we learned the benefits, not only did we incorporate it into our daily routine, we worked with our manufacturer to offer Lemon Cake and Unicorn Sweat flavored pre-workout that includes it!

So what is it?

Creatine monohydrate is the most common form of creatine supplement. It is a naturally occurring substance found in the body and in foods like meat and fish. Creatine is used to help produce energy during high-intensity exercise. Creatine supplements are popular among athletes and bodybuilders, as they have been shown to improve muscle mass and strength.
Creatine monohydrate is a white, odorless powder that is easily dissolved in water. It is typically taken as a capsule or powder, but it can also be added to food or drinks.

More and more studies are showing the health benefits:

  • Build muscle: Creatine helps your body build muscle by providing it with the energy it needs to repair and grow muscle tissue.
  • Get more gains: Creatine helps you work out harder and longer, which can lead to bigger muscles and more strength.
  • Recover faster: Creatine helps your body recover from workouts faster by reducing muscle soreness and inflammation.
  • Get less injured: Creatine may help you get injured less by making your muscles stronger and more resistant to injury.
  • Get smarter: Creatine may also have benefits for brain function, such as improving memory and learning.
Creatine is generally considered to be safe for most people and is a great way to improve your athletic performance and build muscle. If you're looking to get the most out of your workouts, creatine is a great option.. However, it's important to talk to your doctor before taking it, especially if you have any health conditions.
