Here’s what you can do to Burn MORE Calories while doing NOTHING

We’ve mentioned this before, and we’ll say it again.

Excessive cardio will NOT help you lose fat and keep it off - the key is to incorporate strength training to build your lean muscle mass.

Why is this important?

Lean muscle mass is the tissue that makes up your muscles. It is important for many reasons, including:
  • Metabolism: Muscle tissue is metabolically active, which means that it burns calories even when you are at rest. This is why people with more muscle mass tend to have a higher metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day, better positioning you to lose FAT, and get the body you want
  • Strength: Muscle tissue helps you to perform everyday activities, such as walking, carrying groceries, and climbing stairs. It also helps to protect your bones and joints.
  • Appearance: Muscle tissue helps to give you a "toned" look many claim to want
Having more lean muscle mass can help you to lose weight and keep it off. When you lose weight, you are usually losing a combination of muscle and fat. However, if you focus on building muscle, you can lose more fat and keep more muscle. This will help you to have a higher metabolism and burn more calories throughout the day.
The next critical piece is to make sure you are consuming enough protein in your diet. Protein is the building block of muscle tissue. So if you want to lose weight, get jacked, or appear "defined", you gotta eat your protein!
Here's why:
  • Protein helps you build muscle mass. When you lift weights, your muscles break down. Eating protein helps your muscles repair themselves and get stronger.
  • Protein helps you recover from exercise. After a workout, your muscles are hungry for protein. Eating protein helps your muscles recover and get stronger.
  • Protein helps you prevent muscle loss as you age. As you get older, your body naturally loses muscle mass. But eating protein can help slow down this process.

If fad diets, extreme calorie restriction and eliminating your favorite foods hasn’t worked yet, why are you still doing it?
